第十一届政治协商会议 (the 11th National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, CPPCC) 已经在这个星期一(3月3日)开幕,全国2千多名政协代表将在北京参加为期11天的会议。3月5日,十一届全国人大 (the National People’s Congress) 一次会议开幕,温家宝作政府工作报告说今年CPI控制在4.8%以内。近来在各个渠道略微看到关于两会的消息,特别昨晚在跑步的时候听到BBC放了一小段温家宝关于CPI的讲话才意识到重要的两会已经开始了。至于为什么是重要的,我想我们亲爱的党举行的会议都是很重要的缘故吧。
昨天是Extra Free Class的最后一天,很幸运,没有超过空课的底线因此拿回了课程开始的预存款。很是抱歉,没有记下第二批老师的名单,只能在下面以图片代替了。也祝贺Melic拿到证书。另外,新的免费课程也开始报名了,但是不知道要在BC呆多久就不参和了,一般来说,再去参加还是有益处的。Ricky从韩国回来后就直接跳一级还是跟我同班,因为Academic 1没有空位,从这里看出BC的分级制度是乱来的呀。现在感觉到课程好像用处不大了,可能还的在平时多下功夫。Feb 28日是Petra的生日,Zerlinda送了一个小小的蛋糕,很有意义。而且Petra的新婚丈夫送了一张写满甜言蜜语的贺卡给她,超赞耶,虽然我看不懂匈牙利文。Jan春节回来后只在上part time的speaking lessons,一个星期两节课,据她说每天都去学跳舞,伦巴、恰恰还有华尔兹,一段时候可能还会有证书拿呢,感觉她是越活越有精神了。Lisa,我的韩国新同学,嗯,怎么介绍她呢,well, generally speaking, er, let me see, 这个课程开始以来我俩都坐在一块,I’m very enjoying the time with her。当然在Foundation 6同学的印尼餐馆聚会上就认识她了。Andy,来自香港的同学,恭喜他通过了新加坡sunrise学校的面试,两年后将会产生一个厨师,很佩服他能够按照自己的兴趣来重新选择一个方向。他的一绝是能够将短信写成信那样的长度,可怜我的blackberry 7290要运行一段时间才能够将信息全部显示出来。Fitri,现在在准备8号的雅思考试,然后应该会申请新加坡的某间大学吧,今天给我一个小册子,名称是“你知道关于圣灵的。。。”(忘了名称了,有时间将摘抄一下段出来)。May the force be with her. Yang Kun, my boss’s nephew, 谢谢他的关心,哈。在没有下来这里联上网的时候,感觉有很多要说的一样,但是发现那只是感觉而已。天晚了,该睡觉了。

There is an email in my email box which Eng. Ehab forwarded yesterday, the title of it was ‘Sleeping Chinese‘. As Bernd said in his website, ‘They talk about “The Sleeping Giant”. About “The Birth of the New Super Power” or “The Awaken of the Red Dragon”. Very often with a strange kind of undertone, which is supposed to frighten us. The reality looks definitely more peaceful.’ This is a real world, I hope they all are well, at least their children can have a better life than us. Following is also a copy from VOA news letter.
调查显示,在中国,由于父母外出打工而留守农村的儿童,数量达到5800万人以上,平均每4个农村儿童当中就有1个多留守儿童。专家认为,亲情缺失是农村留守儿童面临的一个突出问题。
近二三十年来,随著中国现代化进程的推进,已有1亿4千万农村劳动力进入城市打工,并由此造成了一个特殊而又庞大的儿童群体–农村留守儿童。最新研究显示, 0到17岁的留守儿童占中国儿童总数的21.72%,而在全部农村儿童当中,留守儿童的比例高达28.29%。
在北京打工的小王说:“我们村里的儿童,基本上没有父母全在家的,全部是跟奶奶、爷爷。我们吧,还是像是单亲的。有的是爸爸、妈妈都出去了,特别是现在,过完春节以后,都走了。”

Just copy the news from the VOA news, I can’t write Chinese in school’s computer. Well, even though I can type chinese, I don’t know what to say. After this, there is a logic game which I’d done during the first class of Academic 2.

由原国家统计局局长李成瑞和北京大学法学院教授巩献田起草的建议书(《县处级以上公职人员财产申报公布法》)已提交给有关部门。发起人希望人大代表能在3月举行的全国人大会议上提出相关提案,并在一年内完成立法,2009年开始实施。

I’m wondering about the following explanation, but I think it’s very good.
1、 什么是经济发展?
简单的讲经济发展就是有钱,但钱从何来?钱只能印出来。那么到底是什么使印钞机不停的运转?假设一个岛上有1000人,与世隔绝,人与人之间交换物品过活,但有时候你手里用来交换的东西不一定就是对方想要的,怎么办?于是人们就用都喜欢的金银作为交换的东西,于是交换方便了。但金银要磨损,携带也不方便,当交换活动频繁时,发现这个东西太繁琐,限制了交换活动,于是为了解决这个问题,想了一个办法,就是由岛上的管理者发行一种符号,用它来代替金银,于是钞票出现了。
刚开始这种钞票可以随时得兑换金银。大家都很放心,因为钞票就是金银。可是岛上金银的产量太小,当人们的交换活动更加频繁时,钞票不够用了,只能暂停交换。暂停交换的后果就是大家不生产别人想要的东西了,因为虽然别人用,但交换不出去,套用现在的话说就是经济发展减速了。
于是大家想了一个办法,成立一家钱庄,这个钱庄是大家的,由钱庄来发行钞票,印出的钞票借给想用钱的人,然后这个人有钱了再还给钱庄。于是银行就出现了。
银行的出现,能保证交换活动更持续的进行,大家都拼命的生产,岛上的东西越来越多,银行根据产品的生产数量,不停的印制钞票,以保证交换能更深入的进行。
后来人们的交换活动更频繁了,一家钱庄太少了,于是出现了很多钱庄,总要有个管钱庄的吧,于是指定一家钱庄管理其他钱庄,并且钞票只能由这家钱庄印刷,然后通过其他钱庄借给用钱的人,中央银行就这么也出现了。

BC: Here is not in China - Jan 03, 2008
今天一大早就赶到学校然后由Nelisa带着去ICA (Immigration & Checkpoint Authority) 办理学生证,几乎等了两个小时才轮到,然后又等了几乎一个小时才轮到交钱,S$80手续费。正好回来赶上下午的课程,刚到一个新同学,来自印尼,也能说中文。形式上就是让学生自由讨论,说出自己的想法,然后句型变换,更多的是语法时态关系,这让我感觉特别沮丧,因为从来都没有去认真的学过语法,当然也知道这是软肋,还有词汇的贫乏更是难于启齿。
From now on, I will practice my English here, and if you can point out my any mistake that would be highly appreciated. Well, today’s lesson was almost focus on the grammar while you want to use the sentence to make some predictions. Such as ‘adverbs with will/won’t', modals like may and ‘is (not) likely to’. And we often talk about hypothetical situations using if. Normally, we use the past tense after if and this description doesn’t mean that happened in the past. In fact, I feel totally confuse about this grammar even I took the lesson and finish my homework. I don’t know when should I use the past tense while using the if for some hypothetical possibilities.
I’d helped one of classmate to copy some lesson’s files from the computer inside the classroom, such as the video, ppt, I think. And our teacher David finally found out what had happened, and he said that here is not in China, you may not allowed to download something from the server. That make me felt embarrassed even I went back to the dormitory.
David also printed some news from the internet like the BBC, Guardian Unlimited website. And asked about the prediction about the new president of the United States, well, I don’t know much about the candidates, only Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama, and I can’t recall the name of Obama. In my opinion, I’d like to see Barack Obama to be the new president of USA just because I like the ‘24′ television so much. Not only the new president of United States, but also the situation in Pakistan and Kenya, the delay of Nuclear weapon in North Korea, pollution in your country, and Britney Spears.
My trouble in studying in English is I don’t know how to improve the grammar and words.
