国内的大学放假了，Mel也就回来了。两天前接到他电话时，惊喜一阵，毕竟通过网络的联系已经越来越弱。傻傻的在两个不同的地方等了差不多一个小时，也似乎只有我们才能办到。想起另外一次Richard在约定的时间从西部杀到东部，也不带手机，幸好都按计划汇合，这种“作风”我从来不敢，或许不太相信别人的缘故。断断续续分享了各自的所见所闻，他比我还更了解中国了，也更像个中国人。经过他的叙述，兰州并不像印象中的那么沙漠化，气候反而比较宜人，没那么潮湿。

第二次尝试仍旧以失败告终。预兆？

确定了现有机子的去向后，从上个星期开始，一直在dell.com.sg, dell.com.my, dell.com.cn之间来回跳。了解到现在CPU已到了i系列，也明白了i7比i3和i5还早面市。那是暗无天日的几天，纠结于不同的外型，不同的CPU，不同的显卡。集合TCH的意见，要么就买最便宜的或者就是最贵的。浏览了大量网页后，确定CPU至少是i系列的，那么就是i3或i7了，原则在此。正当信心满满的问鼎配备i7的studio时，打算把用5年以上时，T说的一个意见让这个信心降到谷底，也就是不能控制的意外，保修期后的一杯咖啡倒下来很让人抓狂，尽管在我这的版本会变成蜜糖水，而蜜糖产自临江镇。所以在徘徊了许久后，将目标放在Vostro上去，主要是喜欢它的铝壳，在促销期间，i5的价钱只是比i3多了50，于是，悄然将选择定在Vostro 3400 (T520609SG)。为了控制成本，没有将内存从3G提升到4G，硬盘方面也是没有升到500G。尝试不要微软的Windows系统，希望这样可以降低价钱，得到的答复是那已经是最小的配置，不能再减了。有Ubuntu选项的型号不合心意，各方面因素的妥协下，订单如下：

Do you sometimes struggle to find something to shoot? It’s really easy when on vacation, because there’s lots of new things to photograph. But what about the commute to work?

Sometimes you need to think creatively to find better shots. Set yourself a theme to give your brain a head start.

For example, on a vacation choose a different color every day and ensure all your shots for that day have that color in that image. Or shoot only shots with triangles in them.

Other examples of themes are:

Make sure your theme is simple otherwise you’ll be more pre-occupied with getting a shot in line with your theme than the image itself.

Another option for a theme when on vacation is to choose a selection of themes that captures the essence of the destination. Every area has themes relating to its landscapes, climate, cities, culture etc. Do some research by looking at local postcards or talking to taxi drivers to get an idea of the good picture taking locations.
