I joined the Pop Music Club last afternoon again from 5:30 to 6:30. I’ve never heard about the songs that the DJ played using Youtube. One is Luka (By Suzanne Vega), and the other one is Can’t Fight This Feeling (By REO Speedwagon).

Luka‘s biggest hit was the #3 in the USA in 1987. Suzanne Vega was born in California grew up in a dangerous neighborhood in New York City. She began to write poems at age 9. She is going to give us a concert in Singapore this Saturday! I fall in love with this song when I heard the first tune, you can image what’s the life like of the boy even though the lyric is simple and short.

One student recommended the Can’t Fight This Feeling last week. DJ told us this is a “Gold Oldie”, that means it’s still very popular despite how old it is. It was the number 1 in the USA in 1985.

I went to Rick’s house last night at 9 p.m. It’s not far away from British Council, I saw the chinese embassy while I came to the Tanglin road. Rick lives in a apartment which is in Tanglin View community, the environment there is beautiful. He has a big apartment and a maid who live in the apartment too. He share a computer company which focus on both software and hardware with his friend, according to the conversation. We just have some talk to get us know each other better and watched a movie then I have to come back to my hostel. AC gave me a call to check where I was, I want to tell him my appreciation.
